The Cappy cup annual Pond Hockey Tournament is designed to create a day where everyone far and near can get together and pay homage to Kevin and get together as a community to celebrate the memories we had and at the same time create a sports scholarship program for a female and male high school student in his name. We are also pledgin
The Cappy cup annual Pond Hockey Tournament is designed to create a day where everyone far and near can get together and pay homage to Kevin and get together as a community to celebrate the memories we had and at the same time create a sports scholarship program for a female and male high school student in his name. We are also pledging a portion of the charity earnings to mental health and suicide awareness. Kevin's passion for sports was undeniable as he played on many sports teams throughout his years and helped influence his children to have the exact same passion!

Founded in the winter of 2022 and the first puck dropping on Feburary 18th 2023, we as a group of family and friends have taken our passion for hockey, community and family to a levelfor all to enjoy. Our committee has a diversity of hockey players, business owners, plumbers, electricians, sales, and mechanical trades combining together to create the Cappy Cup! It takes a village to raise a child and we look at this as our baby. Without multiple channels of team efforts and community support this would not become a reality.

At The Cappy Cup, we believe in giving back to the community. We have created High School Scholarships along with St Stephen Minor Hockey creating the Kevin Pomeroy Leadership Award. We also were able to assist with another annual tournament this summer when weather did not co-operate. This is all because of community dedication and participation!
